Governor Chukwuma Soludo recently inaugurated the Solution Innovation District (SID) take-off center, which will serve as a technology incubation hub in the state. The center is part of Governor Soludo’s vision, outlined in his manifesto, to drive the digital transformation of the state.
During the inauguration, Governor Soludo toured various segments of the center, including the Co-working space, Digital Skills training lab, robotics lab, executive co-working space, and training hall.
Addressing the Anambra youths, the Governor emphasized the importance of the innovation district in preparing them to lead in the digital era. He urged the youths to seize opportunities presented by disruptive changes and emphasized the need for planning and hard work to control the future.
Governor Soludo highlighted that Anambra’s greatest resource is its human capital, and his administration is committed to harnessing and maximizing this potential. His goal is to create a digital tribe that will extend beyond the urban centers to reach the grassroots.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu, expressed the industry’s willingness to partner with the Solution Innovation District in fostering digital innovation and creativity.
Miss Chinwe Okoli, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, emphasized that the center will create job opportunities and meaningfully engage the youth. The center will provide technical support for existing businesses, incubate new business ideas, and offer digital skills training to meet the demands of the 21st-century technological landscape.
The event concluded with Governor Soludo presenting laptops to successful participants of Level Up Anambra Cohorts one and two. The ceremony was attended by top government officials, Transition Committee Chairmen, and youths from various parts of the state.
