South-East is the most policed zone in Nigeria.
Therefore, the idea that people from other states in the zone go to Anambra to pull well-cordinated hits & dissapear is far-fetched.
If for any reason this argument is sustained, we should ask: do Igbo’s from other states overpower the indigenes of local communities to enforce Monday sit-at-home order in Anambra?
The truth is that IPOB has sympathizers in every nook & cranny of South-East.
Soludo should also understand that the ploliferation of arms further complicates issues.
For every careless utterance he makes it take the boys nothing to cause havoc.
Even if he does not agree with their method or their cause, Soludo should talk like someone who understands the grievances of the boys.
How can Soludo set-up a Truth & Reconciliation commitee when he knows that ESN/UGM engage in covert operations.
Moreover, he is not in control of the military & police, & therefore can’t guarantee their safety if they come out in the open.
Soludo is also not in a position grant ESN/UGM operatives amnesty.
Till date unlike their Northern counterparts no member of IPOB/ESN/UGM has been granted amnesty.
Meanwhile, federal government not only pardons bandits & islamic militants, but absorbs them into the military.
If he must be successful Soludo must change his tactics & the tune of his body language.
These guys might be intellectually inferior to him, (but the way they see) they believe they are Soludo’s equal because of the power of the barrels of their gun.
ESN/UGM problem can’t be solved by carrying ‘big files’ & speaking ‘big grammars’.
Soludo should acquire street credibility.
Then he should go to the street to talk to the boys to talk to their boys.
Mind you street boys are not a perfume wearing ‘Area fada’.
But, the real streets boys from Anambra State who reek of sweat from street hustle.
