The Soludo administration’s commitment to sustainable youth empowerment and job creation has received praise from beneficiaries of the six-month internship placement at the Solution Innovation District.
The internship opportunity was awarded to participants who excelled in the LevelUp Anambra Digital Skills Training programme.
Starting from August 1st, the beneficiaries will have the chance to work alongside experts in the technology field, gaining invaluable experience within the innovative environment of Solution Innovation District.
During the inauguration of Solution Innovation District’s Takeoff Centre in Awka, beneficiaries like Emmanuel Chife and Obianuju Obuegbe expressed their gratitude, acknowledging that the digital training would have been costly elsewhere. They believe the six-month internship will enhance their skills for personal development and thanked the organizers and trainers for their dedication.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, Dr. Anselm Onuorah, and ASATU-Youth Mayor in Orumba South Local Government Area, Mr. Chidubem Igwilo, praised Governor Soludo’s determination to create digital technology opportunities for the youth, which connect people to various spheres of life. They encouraged interested youths to participate in the Soludo administration’s empowerment programs for personal growth.
Mr. Patrick AghaMba, the state Commissioner for Youth Development, emphasized that the various training and empowerment programs by the Soludo administration aim to transform Anambra into a skills hub with numerous high-quality job opportunities. With four hundred training centers and master trainers, over five thousand youths have been trained in the pilot phase of the “one youth, two skills” training program, and now, the second phase aims to empower eighty thousand more individuals.
