A suspect, Nkosinathi Phakathi, has admitted to terrorising the Ekurhuleni area in Johannesburg, South Africa for nine years.
Phakathi pled guilty to 148 counts including the rape charges at the High Court sitting in Palm Ridge on Wednesday.
According to EWN, in South Africa, the sentence for the rape of a minor is life imprisonment and Phakathi faces 38 counts of raping minors with his youngest victim being nine-year-old.
He also faces 52 counts of raping adults with a prescribed jail term of 15 years.
Phakathi , who was arrested last year march and shot in the leg while running away from the police, would return to court next Tuesday for judgement.
