Anambra state Special Marshals has promised to redouble their efforts in its supportive roles in traffic decongestion and management, for free flow of traffic this yuletide.
The Coordinator of the group, Mr Patrick Esumai made the promise during the Christmas get-together of Anambra state Special Marshals RSI point three Awka, held in Awka.
Mr Esumai who commended the efforts of the marshals and their cooperation, said that they are committed to assisting Anambra state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps and other traffic management agencies to ensure free flow of traffic across the state this festive season.
He cautioned road users against acts that are capable of causing preventable gridlocks and road crashes this period, and asked them to stick to traffic laws and safe driving measures, in order to stay alive for their families and loved ones.
Speaking, the Zonal and State Public Enlightenment Officer, Mrs Isabella Nsofor who is also the Awka Axis Leader of the group rated the cooperation of the marshals high in the discharge of their duties, reminding them that this period demands more commitment and hard work.
She explained that the event was aimed at appreciating God for his faithfulness and protection on the marshals, sighting several occasions when God saved their officers from mishaps.
The event attracted the marshals from across the state and provided them the opportunity to merry, fraternize with each other, thank God for his protection and blessings through 2022, and as well pray for a fruitful 2023.
