The new state chairman of PDP in Anambra state, Chief Chukwudi Umeaba has taken over the affairs of PDP in the state. Chief Umeaba who is a loyalist of Dr Chris Ubah, Eselu Uga held a press conference today at Awka where he gave accounts of the issues leading to the court judgement that sacked Ndubuisi Nwobu and returned him as the acting state Chairman of PDP in the state.
Speaking to the media today, Umeaba made the following pronouncements;
A. Suspended the ward congress scheduled to elect a 3 man adhoc delegates for the June 26 governorship primaries.
B. His office will contact the NEC of the party to give a new date for the ward congresses to elect the new ward delegates.
His office will marshal out new programmes for the growth of PDP in Anambra state.
Concluding, Umeaba appealed to all the party members to remain calm and pray for peace and progress of the party.
