Awka, Anambra State – In a move to strengthen collaboration toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Anambra State Chapter of the United Nations Youth Association of Nigeria (UNYA-NG) has initiated a strategic partnership with the Green Initiative for Humanitarian Aid and Development (GreeniHAD).
The partnership discussions took place during a courtesy visit by a UNYA-NG delegation led by Eminent Ambassador Dr. Chude Arinze, Anambra State Coordinator of the association, to GreeniHAD’s executive team in Awka.
Speaking at the meeting, GreeniHAD’s Executive Director, Amb. Dr. Onyekachi Chukwu, highlighted practical strategies for project implementation within the state, offering insights on how both organizations could work together more effectively.
In his remarks, Amb. Dr. Chude Arinze described the engagement as “an enriching and forward-looking dialogue,” stressing that the visit opened new opportunities for youth-led development. “Our goal is to ensure that the Sustainable Development Goals are not just lofty ideas, but realities felt by communities across Anambra,” he said.
He further reaffirmed the association’s commitment to fostering impactful partnerships: “We believe that by joining forces with GreeniHAD, we can scale our initiatives, mobilize more young people, and drive measurable progress toward the SDGs. This collaboration marks an important step in building a more sustainable and inclusive future for our state.”
Both organizations expressed optimism that the partnership would advance community-focused initiatives, foster youth involvement in governance, and accelerate the achievement of SDGs in the state.
