United Nigeria Airline Receives IOSA Certification

United Nigeria Airline has successfully obtained the IOSA Operator certification under the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit programme (IOSA). The initial IOSA audit began last year, and the airline has now been confirmed by IOSA’s Senior Vice President of Operations, Safety, and Security, Mr. Nick Careen.

According to Mazi Osita Okonkwo, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of United Nigeria Airlines, the IOSA certification is a significant achievement for the airline. He mentioned that the audit process was thorough and challenging, but it provided them with valuable opportunities to improve their processes and procedures. He also thanked the team for their diligence and hard work, as well as the customers, regulators, and service partners who supported them.

The certification confirms that United Nigeria Airline operates according to the best global operational safety standards, which is a requirement to be on the IATA Registry. The airline began its operations in February 2021 and currently operates daily scheduled flights to and from different cities in Nigeria.

As the airline prepares for regional operations, they remain committed to maintaining the high standards affirmed by the IOSA certification.
