University Teaching Hospital Abagana After 40yrs

According to the former councilor Abagana Ward iii and aspirant for Njikoka ii constituency under All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Hon Anigbogu Stephen; took to his social media page calling on Anambra state Commisioner of Health and the state government to help call the attention of Federal government to the Teaching Hospital built in Umudunu Abagana 40yrs ago but not in use since then.

Hon Anigbogu Stephen wrote:

“On 9th April 2014 ,as Councillor representing Abagana ward 111, I moved a motion before Njikoka Legislative House and later wrote on Facebook which reads. ” About 40yrs ago, University Teaching Hospital was built by University of Nigeria at Ofeozzala, Umudunu Abagana. But 40yrs later, Hospital structure containing about 90 rooms with GOPD sections, 12 flat resident Doctors’ abode, 12 flat student Nurse building,borehole etc have not been put to use. In view of this and also the mentioned Hospital being in my ward, i moved a motion today, supported by majority of my fellow Njikoka legislative members, mandating the federal relevant Authority to make sure the said Teaching Hospital starts functioning. Also, Njikoka Legislative house, resolved to liase with Njikoka Executive Chairman, members of Anambra state house of Assembly from our Area, members of federal house of representatives from our Area,Senator from our Area, Anambra state Commisioner of Health and Governor Wilie Obiano to help call the attention of Federal gvt to the Teaching Hospital built in Umudunu Abagana 40yrs ago but not in use since then. We are mindful of various gains that will come to Abagana and nearby communities,once this Hospital starts functioning. We also welcome any useful idea, that will help us realise this project on time. Health is wealth” Hon Anigbogu Stephen is from Abagana in Njikoka LGA of Anambra State, he was a former councilor Abagana Ward 111 in Njikoka Legislative house and he’s aspiring to represent Njikoka 2 constituency in Anambra state house of assembly under All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)
