We Need Support For Flood Displaced Persons – Anambra West TC Chairman

The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Felix Ikechi has urged people of goodwill and philanthropists in the state to the persons displaced by flood in the local government area.

Mr. Ikechi who made this appeal at the Umueri holding centre, said that the call has become imperative due to the huge loss the flood displaced victims have suffered.

The Anambra West TC Chairman, who commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration for all it has been doing since the upsurge, appealed to the communities in the upland areas to assist the flood victims in anyway they can for the sake of humanity.

He equally appealed to traditional rulers and president generals of the various communites affected by the flood to assist the Government in ensuring that the victims have adequate security at all times.

Mr. Ikechi further promised that the Government would do all within its powers to provide relief materials and other basic needs for the victims.

According to him, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) should synergize with the Anambra state Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to ensure that relief materials get to all the flood victims in the various local governments areas like Ogbaru, Anambra West, Anambra East and Ayamelum Council Area.
