Chief ThankGod Kenechukwu Ibeh, the Deputy Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Lagos state chapter has declared interest in contesting for Anambra state gubernatorial election which holds on the 6th of November, 2021.
The Awgbu – born politician, businessman and philanthropist, made the declaration on Sunday, 7th February, 2021, during a meeting with members of Wards 1 and 2, of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Awgbu, Orumba North Local Government Area.
The meeting was attended by members of the State Working Committee of the party and Coordinators of Uzokamma Foundation in the twenty-one local government areas of the state.
Declaring his intention, Chief Ibeh underscored the need to consolidate on the achievements recorded by Chief Willie Obiano.
He noted that being a member of APGA, he has seen a clear picture of youth inclusiveness in the political structure of the party and urged the youths of the state to form a formidable front that will make them major players in the politics of the state, and country.
The Orumba North LGA APGA Chairman, Pharmacist Alphonsus Muogbo and the APGA Chairman Awgbu Ward 2 m, Mr. Fidelis Nwawata asked APGA members in the local government to ensure that Chief Ibeh gains grassroots recognition while describing the guber aspirant as a progressive, who has over the years invested in youth development.
Singing songs of joy for the declaration by Chief Ibeh, the Woman Leader of the campaign organization, Mrs felicia Ezegbudo said that Chief Ibeh has invested massively through youth empowerment, free medical outreach and financial support to indigent people in the society, and described him as one who has the capacity to continue with Governor Willie Obiano’s development agenda in repositioning the state.
The Director General of Uzokamma Foundation, Mr. Obinna Okoye urged all especially the youths to remain supportive and committed in achieving the goal of Chief Ibeh for a brighter future and appreciated Governor Willie Obiano for the opportunities given to young people.
