Wife Of Nigeria’s IGP, Hajiya Alkali Baba Arrives Anambra State On A Working Visit

Wife of Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police and President of Police Officers Wives’ Association (POWA), Hajiya Hajara Usman Alkali Baba has touched down Anambra State for an official visit.

Hajiya Alkali Baba, who arrived alongside wives of high ranking police officers, was welcomed at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia by wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano.

The IGP’S wife is in Anambra State as part of her tour to states across Nigeria, in promotion of her POWA vision which promotes welfare and education of police officer’ wives and children, and also to commiserate with wives of police officers who were affected during the ugly fallout of EndSARS agitation.

Welcoming the IGP’S wife, Dr (Mrs) Obiano commended her for already hitting the ground running barely four months after her husband was appointed the Inspector General of Police, stating that her immediate revival of POWA stands comparatively tall.

Dr (Mrs) Obiano who noted that she remains passionate about the concerns of women and children, said that her NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, has done greatly in setting and upgrading social standards across all facets of life.

In her speech, Hajiya Alkali Baba who said that her relationship with the governor’s wife had come far, described Dr (Mrs) Obiano as someone who has deep passion for humanity, especially women, noting that she accomodates everyone irrespective of religion or tribe.

The IGP’s wife while speaking on her visit to the state, disclosed that she was reaching out to police families across all states in Nigeria in furtherance of her three-point vision which centres on welfare, education and health of all police wives and their children.

Hajiya Alkali Baba is the first IGP’S wife to be received officially by Dr (Mrs) Obiano since she became the governor’s wife.
