The leading governorship aspirant for the November 6 election, Senator Uche Ekwunife has stated that Ihiala LGA has the capacity to lead the industrial revolution in the state, saying it will provide job opportunities for the teeming youths.
Ekwunife, made this known moments ago while intimating party delegates at the Ihiala LGA party secretariat. She urged all stakeholders to partner with her to rebuild our dilapidated infrastructure.
Ekwunife who had embarked on LGA tour was received by Ihiala LGA Executive led by the Chairman, Nath Ikwuka.
Speaking, Mr. Ikwuka said that the most important factor in the upcoming election is to nominate a candidate who has capacity to defend the votes of the electorate. He said that Ekwunife has proven to be a woman of strength and purpose.
Talking on, he noted that Ekwunife has the qualities to take PDP to victory at the polls.
Responding to questions, the Igbo-Ukwu born Senator restated her commitment to conduct LGA election within a year in office. She bemoaned the over-taxation of Anambra state business community, saying that every serious government must employ digitalized revenue collection for transparency and accountability. She promised her government will make Anambra the leading investment destination without overtaxing businesses.
Concluding, the Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology assured that women will have a huge role to play in her government if given the mandate.
