Information reaching ANAMBRA CURRENT NEWS has it that Abagana Welfare Union will be conducting election to fill in positions in the Union. Abagana as the Headquarters of Njikoka Local Government Area has been operating with Caretaker Committee that was set up by the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters under the past Administration of Chief Willie Obiano.
In a circular signed by the Chairman Caretaker Committee Abagana Welfare Union, Hon Linus Okafor-Okunwa has it that different positions of contest has been zoned to different Villages of Abagana Town.
The position of the President General is zoned to Amaenye Village,
1st Vice President General zoned to Akpu Village,
2nd Vice President General zoned to Orofia, Secretary General zoned to Umudunu,
Asst Secretary General zoned to Adagbe Village,
Treasurer zoned to Uru Village,
Financial Secretary zoned to Uruokpala Village,
1st Public Relation Officer zoned to Orofia Village,
2nd Public Relation Officer zoned to Umudunu Village.
By the end of Tuesday 30th of August, 2022 new Executives that will pilot the affairs of Abagana Welfare Union will emerge.
