Minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige has disclosed that he wouldn’t be useful in the campaign council of the all progressives congress because he is doing a national job as a minister.
According to Chris Ngige, he withdrew from the presidential race because he wanted to face his job as minister of Labour and employment. You will recall that president Muhammadu Buhari asked all his appointees who were seeking elective positions in the forthcoming 2023 elections to resign their appointments.
Following the directive, Chris Ngige withdrew from the presidential race, stressing that he wanted to face his job as a minister.
When asked during an interview why he wasn’t included in the presidential campaign council of the all progressives congress, Chris Ngige replied “I don’t think I’m useful in the campaign council because I’m doing a national job”.
He stated this between the 48th to 49th minute into the interview.
Chris Ngige was one of the aspirants who withdrew from the presidential race on the platform of the all progressives congress.
