Rivers PDP Condemns Dino Melaye’s Criticism of Governor Wike

The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticized former Senator Dino Melaye for his comments about Governor Nyesom Wike. The PDP’s Director of Publicity, Ogbonna Nwuke, accused Melaye of being unable to speak about Governor Wike, and recalled how Melaye lost to T. J. Yusuf, who was supported by Wike, in the 2022 PDP primary for Kogi West Senatorial District.

Nwuke’s comments came in response to Melaye’s recent criticisms of Governor Wike. Melaye had suggested that Wike lacked the capacity to win Kogi State for the PDP.

Nwuke, a former member of the House of Representatives, dismissed Melaye’s criticisms and mocked his ambitions to become governor of Kogi State. Nwuke argued that Melaye was not capable of leading the state and claimed that he was only interested in using the state’s resources to acquire luxury items like shoes, cars, and wristwatches.

The PDP spokesman also predicted that Melaye would be unable to win the governorship election in Kogi State, even if he were to secure the party’s nomination. Nwuke suggested that Melaye’s political career was already “dead on arrival” and that history would remember Governor Wike more favorably than Melaye.
