Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) on Wednesday, 30th December 2020 joined other dignitaries, friends and well wishers of Chief Felix Oli and his amiable wife, Lady Christiana Oli as Chief Oli celebrated his 72nd Birthday and 46th Wedding Anniversary.
The double celebration which held at the home of the respected political leader and elder statesman in Nri attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, including, Sen. Andy Uba, Dr Tony Nwoye, His Imperial Majesty, Augustine Chukwuezugo Ndigwe, Oba Emelie Okika and others.
Felicitating with Chief Oli and his wife, Ekwunife stated that the couple has through their marriage shown that true love endures. She described Chief Oli as a man of character, and noted that the celebrant’s accomplishments and contributions towards her political career and that of others will always be appreciated.
The Federal Lawmaker and frontline Governorship Aspirant for the 2021 Governorship election further noted that Chief Oli is a selfless politician who deserves to be celebrated. She sent her warm felicitations to the celebrants, on behalf of her family and the good people of Anambra Central, and prayed for God’s continuous blessings, guidance and protection upon them.
On his part, Chief Oli while appreciating Senator Ekwunife for her giant strides in the Senate as well as her commitment towards addressing the yearnings of her constituents, noted that the Senator has through her antecedents shown that she is more than qualified to be the next Governor of Anambra State. He described the saying “Ka Nwanyi Jekene” as a statement of fact that time is ripe for a woman to be Governor, and urged Senator Ekwunife to remain committed to the well being of the masses as she has always been.
Also in attendance was the President General of Nri who was the Chief Host of the event, Chief Dr. Kelvin Obiegbunam (Oba Ochendo). Others include, Chief Cyril Udoh, Chief Onyeawuna Ezeani, Chief Engr Emma Emelife, Hon Barr Pat Okafor, Chief Charles Tabansi, Dr Rose Nwankwo, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Mrs Ify Chinwuko, Mrs Josephine Chinweze and others.
