Shortly after her meeting at Nteje in Oyi LGA, the leading governorship aspirant for the November 6 election, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) visited Atani in Ogbaru local government area to interface with party delegates over her governorship ambition.
During the meeting which was graced by party executive in the local government, Ekwunife reiterated her commitment to reposition the party and lead a government that will uplift the living standards of Anambrarians, if elected the next governor.
She stated that dredging of the River Niger holds so much potential for the north senatorial zone and the state at large. The Senator told the gathering that a vote for her is for competence, capacity and consistency. “In choosing a candidate that will deliver for our party and state, we must be objective and sincere while doing so”, Ekwunife advised.
While chants of “Uche Ekwunife Ga Achi Anambra” dominated the atmosphere at interludes, the Deputy Chairman of the local government, Hon Vincent Eneh in his of vote thanks lauded Ekwunife for maintaining a perfect working relationship with Hon Chuchu Onyema, and Senator Stella Oduah who were according to him representing the zone creditably.
The chairman of the local government, Hon Azubuike Odinakosa, members of his executive, ward executive and other stakeholders of the party were on ground to receive the Senator and her entourage, which include, the Senator representing Oyo South, Sen. Kola Balogun, former member of house of representatives, Hon Micah Umoh, former commissioner for women affairs Anambra State, Lady Henrietta Agbata, former Chairman ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo, former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, former MD Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Chief Victor Okpoko, former commissioner for commerce and industry, Hon Ken Arinze, former commissioner for women affairs, Hon Bridget Obi, Barr Njide Chukwuka amongst others.
