Abagana Welfare Union on 30th August, 2022 elected new Executives that will pilot the affairs of the town for few years to come. The election which happened at Abagana Civic Centre had the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Service (DSS) as well as Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) on ground to provide maximum security
Abagana as the headquarters of Njikoka Local Government and has been operating with Caretaker Committee that was inaugurated by the past Administration of Chief Willie Obiano and the Caretaker Committee operated for several years because of some unresolved Town Issues. And on Tuesday 30th August, 2022, a new Executive emerged via an election that was adjudged all inclusive, free, fair, transparent with democratic tenets that did not give room to any form of imposition, intimidation, malpractice or manipulation from the community overlords and cabals.
The under-listed, with the corresponding offices and votes, received the mandate of Ndi Abagana to pilot the affairs of the town;
