Let me begin by extending my greetings and appreciation to you all for your active participation, commitment and support for this movement. THINK SMART MOVEMENT online.
It is our duty to inform you what has being going on.
We keep quiet deliberately so as to gather facts and feed you with the right information.
As you all know a lot has happened so far and we have been mute for a while observing things as they develop.
It is no longer news that our principal Honorable Smart Nonso Okafor, member representing Nnewi North, who was contesting for the governorship position of Anambra state 2021 under APGA party, for whose purpose we are all here, was unlawfully, unjustfully, criminally and wickedly disqualified by APGA leadership led by Victor Oye.
This came as a big blow to all of us.
All the efforts made to bring justice was brutally rejected, ignored plus a threat to kill his political career if he doesn’t support APGA candidate.
Before declaring interest to run for the governor Anambra, our principal Honorable Smart consulted the governor Chief Willie Obiano who gave him a go ahead and his Blessing.
Hon Smart also consulted APGA chairman Victor Oye who also gave him a go ahead and his Blessings.
Our principal visited and consulted all the necessary Apga stake holders in Anambra state and they all gave him a go ahead.
With their permission, he went ahead to buy form with a whooping 22 million naira.
5 days after purchasing form, the same APGA leadership and stake holders he consulted disqualified him under the disguised name of “party insubordination ” This was a shock to us and a slap to our face.
We were disqualified to contest in the party primary election.
All effort made to bring justice was null and void.
It was now obvious that our candidate has been criminally and wickedly robbed my APGA.
This was the height of evil to us Think Smart Movers, to Honoutable Smart and to Ndi Anambra at a whole that a political party is now a ponzi scheme asking innocent people to bring their money and after bringing their money, the system lock.
This is unacceptable and must be rejected in our political system.
After the disqualification, the APGA leadership formed a machiavellian reconciliation committee led by Victor Umeh and they invited our candidate to make peace.
Against his wish, Honorable Smart honoured the invitation.
Knowing he isn’t alone he
made 2 demands:
1) Since he consulted the APGA leadership before contesting and they gave him a go ahead, and the same people who asked him to go ahead also disqualified him a week later after he bought the form with 22 million naira, Honorable Smart demanded they refund his 22 million naira first. Reason is he felt he was robbed. “If you want reconciliation, returns my money first. You can’t keep my money in your back pocket and be asking me for reconciliation”
2) He demanded that all Smart CAMPAIGN leaders be absorbed into the campaign team of the supposed apga candidate who is Prof Soludo. This was a leader who has the interest of his supporters at heart. Smart movement is not only Honorable Smart. This are people who sacrificed all their resources to support this vision.
But unfortunately, all this simple demands were ridiculed and rejected.
What it means is that we have been scammed and we should go home and lick our wounds.
Honorable Smart was unjustly disqualified
He was persuaded to support Soludo
His political career was threatened if he doesn’t comply.
Is this not the Godfatherism we are all condemning.
There’s no greater criminality than this.
You can’t steal a child’s money, tell him not to cry and still force him to support you with a threat that if he doesn’t his career is over.
This is very unfair in a democratic society. You don’t beat a child and expect him not to cry.
All this and many more motivated our principal to decamp from the party.
A party that is infested with greedy Aguleri canals. There’s no future for youth governance under Apga
Anambra state is the only state ruling under APGA, it should lead by example by allowing justice and bringing development to her people.
Yet all this did not happen and the vision of our candidate was cut off without thinking the implications.
NOW WHY APC?
I will like to categorically state here that I know Honorable Smart in a personal level.
He is indeed a good man with conscience. He is a very intelligent and smart leader who has both a discerning spirit and a STRONG WILL to stand on what is right always. Above every good quality he has, the interest of his people is his number one.
I believe our principal made a good decision and it is for the good of Anambra.
He has taken time to analyse, brainstorm, ponder, study and concluded with his team that the best candidate to support for the growth and development of Anambra state is Andy Uba who is contesting through APC party.
In his reassuring words ” I changed party, I didn’t change my personality “
You can’t affect much if you don’t have political power no matter how good you are. With good intentions and good will and power, you can bring good development for your people and that’s what Honorable Smart Nonso Okafor motivated his action.
