LETTER OF APPRECIATION
With heart full of gratitude, l write to thank all of you my own people for your unimaginable efforts and contributions at the time of my travails in the hands of my abductors.
In countless ways, your collective efforts and prayers led to my release. I was amazed at my release to behold countless photos of the aged women, the youths, and the widows of my community protesting peacefully and asking for Government’s intervention and my immediate freedom from my abductors. In that, l saw big love from my own people. That is marvelous in my eyes. Words cannot thank you enough for this show of immense love for me. I am particularly impressed and surprised at the level of support you gave to my wife and family during this time.
Indeed, what transpired is a big story to tell. For me, it will remain an indellible experience and a big lesson particularly a bitter lesson about insecurity and man’s inhumanity to man in an underdevelopment of a region.
Currently, l am completely down receiving treatments from a hospital due to several internal injuries l sustained during the abduction saga. However, I must regret the ungodly remarks and comments coming from some few individuals who gossip around trying to subvert the reality of my abduction which is evident to every right thinking persons.
Such unsrcupulous elements are busy trying to join the enemies in making – up a story of self abduction in connection with what has happened. I wish those people goodluck. Let me also remind them that one day, a story of my abduction will be told and those who are busy concocting story of self abduction will be put to shame.
While l thank you so much my people, I request your prayers for my recovery as l pray God to heal me for the internal injuries are much.
You can be sure that l will address you once l am fit to do so. We will then join together to celebrate because the wish of the enemies for me to die was averted by the mighty hands of God.
May God continue to bless all of us and our families. Pls, always stand on the side of the truth. God will never abandone you.
