In achieving Governor Soludo’s vision of a liveable Anambra State, the Anambra State Special Taskforce against illegal structures and shanties blocking waterways, entered the day three of the exercise yesterday, July 13, 2022 at Silas Works/Akunnia Road Fegge, Onitsha.
Mrs. Uduenyi Chinwe of Silas Works and Mr Oko Okechukwu of Akunnia Road who were among the visibly elated residents, thanked the state governor for remembering them and coming to their help.
According to them, they have been counting their loses and suffering for more than a decade from the ravaging effects of flood due to blockage of the waterways and that with the intervention of the state government, the residents of the area would begin to sleep with their two eyes closed once the exercise is completed.
