BBC Education Icon Award is set to honour 10 outstanding contributors to education and poverty eradication in Nigeria

The BBC Education Icon Award, presented by group of educational professionals in Nigeria that recognises individuals and organisations making extraordinary contributions to children and youths in the fields of education, literacy, and learning in partnership with Best Brain Contest—a registered educational organisation specialized in organising educational programmes for pupils, students, and young people with an interest in promoting education, learning, and literacy—will on Saturday, December 9, 2023, recognise and award ten (10) outstanding individuals and NGOs in Nigeria who have made remarkable contributions to eradicating poverty through education and skill acquisition.

The 10 outstanding individuals and NGOs set to receive awards were openly nominated and will be recognized based on their active contributions to eradicating educational illiteracy and promoting learning in Nigeria. The BBC Education Icon Award is organizing this event with the aim of fostering educational literacy and encouraging those who have made immense contributions to education in Nigeria.

The ten distinguished awardees for the 2023 BBC Education Icon Award are as follows:
