The maiden edition of “Entrepreneurship And Digital Innovation Conference” being organised by Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, NOCEN, has kicked off today, 4th August, 2021 at the College Auditorium, with students and staff of the College as participants.
The Conference, aimed at creating awareness on School of Entrepreneurship and Digital Innovation, SEDI, programmes among staff and students of NOCEN, as well as Anambra youths, gathered renowned ICT Experts, Innovators, Tech Start-ups and Entrepreneurs that will help to, among other things, teach participants how digital innovations and entrepreneurship emerged and create value, how the innovations affect the structuring of markets and business models, and how to implement and finance them.
Guests at the event that will feature fundraising for the SEDI programme include the Anambra State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Sally Mbanefo, represented by Engr. Dr. Florence Idigo, her Ministry of Agriculture counterpart, Mr. Nnamdi Onukwuba, represented by Mrs Ifeyinwa Onwudinjo, Chairman, Governing Council of NOCEN, Chief Cletus Ibeto, represented by Honourable Eze Echesi, MD/CEO of ASBA, Sir Clem Chukwuka, MD/CEO of Anambra State ICT Agency, Honourable Theo Manafa.
Others are Country Director of Rome Business School, Nigeria, Dr. Humphrey Akanazu, Imo State Polytechnic Lecturer, Cajetan Osuagwu, Agric Consultant, Benedict Ibekie.
Declaring the event open, the Provost of the College, Dr Ifeyinwa Osegbo, who explained that the idea to start SEDI came years back, owing to importance of digital innovations in today’s society, urged participants to take full advantage of the opportunity to become wealth creators.
