Ikorodu, Lagos – August 29, 2025 – This summer, Creative Digita Technologies (CDT), led by founder Idris Adegbite, concluded its Free Summer Coding and Fun Bootcamp for Underprivileged Children in Ikorodu, a groundbreaking program that gave disadvantaged children access to technology skills that can change the trajectory of their future.
The initiative, which originally called for sponsorship to support 20 children, was only able to secure funding for 6 children due to limited sponsorship. Despite this, CDT partnered with the Holy Name Missionary Orphanage and Rehabilitation Home in Agric, Ikorodu, and the Youth leader of the Igbo Olomu community, ensuring that the program directly benefited four orphans and two daughters of a woman with disability.
Sponsors and Community Support
The bootcamp was made possible through the generosity of Hydeetech, 10ant Fix, Proficient Designs, and A1 Plus Oil and Gas Limited, who each sponsored children to take part in the program.
“We are deeply grateful to our sponsors,” said Idris Adegbite, Founder of Creative Digita Technologies. “Because of them, six children who might have spent their summer idle or at risk of negative influences were instead introduced to coding, robotics, and digital creativity. But we must do more, so many children are still waiting for opportunities like this.”
Over the course of four weeks, the children learned:
They also enjoyed creative games such as Chess, Monopoly, Jenga, and Scrabble, improving teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Stories of Transformation
Precious, a 12-year-old girl from the Rehabilitation home, expressed her excitement:
“I loved designing flyers and creating my portfolio website. I feel more confident now because I can do things I thought were impossible.”
Romanus, another 12-year-old boy from the Rehabilitation home, added:
“I enjoyed building apps and playing chess. Now, I see myself as an innovator and problem solver.”
Rev. Mother Becky Osinachi, Founder of Holy Name Missionary Orphanage, also praised the program:
“This boot camp gave our children confidence and skills they never had. They have started creating designs for our home and even teaching others. I appeal to the government, philanthropists, and organizations to support this initiative so that more children can benefit.”
Looking Forward
At the closing ceremony, all participants received Certificates of Completion, symbolizing their hard work and new skills. But for Creative Digita Technologies, this is only the beginning.
“We proved that with just a little support, we can change lives,” said Adegbite. “Our next goal is to scale this program so that hundreds more children in Ikorodu and across Nigeria can benefit. But we cannot do it alone.”
Creative Digita Technologies is calling on corporate sponsors, philanthropists, and community leaders to partner in expanding this initiative. Together, we can give children not just digital skills, but confidence, opportunities, and hope.
