DNA 2023: Why Dunukofia Should Be Allowed To Represent – Ka Dunukofia Jekene

By Okonkwo Samuel (SINCOPEDIA), Abagana.

As the build-up to the 2023 elections begins; what every party must endeavor to achieve is getting it right and rightly so.

This is because the consciousness of the masses has increased and given the power pendulum there is the need for the PDP to show true democracy and allow the best to become her party’s standard bearers to win elections through mass expressions of faith and confidence in her candidates.

In Dunukofia, Njikoka, and Anaocha constituencies; the history has been very clear.

In 1999, Hon C. Chikelu from Anaocha was elected. He served for one tenure…

In 2003, Hon. Ozodinobi George was elected and served from 2003 to 2007. Ozodinobi hails from Nimo in Njikoka and served for one tenure.

From 2007 to 2015, Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife from Anaocha was elected and served for two tenures.

Hon. Dozie Nwankwo who also hails from Enugwu-Ukwu took over from Senator Iyom in 2015 and he is already serving out his second tenure.

Because the constituency has three LGs and both Anaocha and Njikoka have represented the constituency for 12 years each respectively, it’s only fair that the next Hon member should come from Dunukofia.

It’s against this background that the candidature of Prince Dr. Emeka Eze becomes most necessary.

As Hon Dozie Nwankwo of APGA winds down, PDP as a National widely accepted Party in Anambra should seize the opportunity to show true democracy and present a credible and capable hand from Dunukofia.

It will thus be a great service to the good people of Dunukofia, Njikoka, and Anaocha constituency to give EZE NA UKPO the mandate to represent them in the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly.
