- Presents Medals, Trophy to the Winning Team

On Saturday 2nd of January 2021, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) joined the people of Anam Development Forum on their Unity Cup Football Tournament.
The Anam Unity Football Competition sponsored by Sir Nonso Ozoemena (Ugegbe Anam) is a yearly competition that unites the three communities of Anam namely: Umuoba-Anam, Mmiata-Anam and Umueze-Anam.
The final match was played between the Umuoba-Anam Football Team and Umueze-Anam Football Team with the Final Score as 1 – 0 against the Umueze-Anam Football Team who narrowly lost to their opponent in the very competitive final match.
While congratulating the winning team, Senator Ekwunife lauded the players for utilizing their God-given talent judiciously. She appreciated the Sponsor, Sir Nonso Ozoemena for his support for the youths of Anam and noted that sports remain a veritable avenue to meaningfully engage the youths.
Highlights of the event were the presentation of medals, silver boots and trophy to the players and the winning team by Senator Ekwunife and the Chairman Senate committee on Youth and Sports, Senator Obinna Ogba who was equally present.
Other personalities present include, the Traditional Ruler of Umu-Oba Anam, HRH Igwe George Ekwealor, Famous nollywood actor, Osita Iheme (Paw-Paw) amongst others.
