The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, has condemned the attack on Prof. Charles Soludo, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance by unknown gunmen.

Ekwunife, in a statement released on Thursday, April 1, 2021, described the attack at the Isuofia Civic Centre in Aguata LGA where policemen attached to the former Central Bank of Nigeria’s Governor were gunned down, their arms carted away and abduction of the State Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engr. Emeka Ezenwanne as shocking and totally unacceptable.

Ekwunife reiterated her call for a methodological approach in solving the security challenge in the state. She called on stakeholders and leaders in the state to speak up and rally round the state government in this trying moment.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Science on behalf of her family and good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District commiserated with the families of the officers that lost their lives. She prayed for God’s protection upon Ndi Anambra.
