The Performing and People-oriented Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) has reiterated that rapid industrialization is key to economic development. She said this on Friday, 8th January 2021 during the official opening of Dophas Technical Nigeria Limited in Awka, Anambra State.
Dophas Technical Nigeria Limited, founded by Sir Kenneth Okafor (Okaka Ichida), is a company that specializes in selling and supplying mainly GIBERIT sanitary wares and other related products nationwide.
Ekwunife after inspecting the company facilities and purchasing few of the products at its grand opening which was equally attended by HRH Igwe Gerald Mbamalu of Ojoto community, Anambra State Commissioner for Trade and Wealth Creation, Hon Sir Uchenna Okafor and other dignitaries, appreciated the owner of the business venture, Sir Okafor for his think-home initiative which led to the establishment of the venture in Anambra State. The widely celebrated Senator described the sanitary products as first class products, saying it will save Ndi Anambra the stress of travelling outside the State to get such products.
While thanking the Senator with the Midas Touch, Sir Kenneth Okafor who hails from Ichida, in Anaocha council area described Ekwunife as a lawmaker who has proven her mettle in all ramifications. He appreciated her for her ongoing projects in all the LGAs in Anambra Central Senatorial District, and prayed God to continue to strengthen her as she strives to deliver purposeful representation to her constituents.
The Dophas CEO further stated that Senator Ekwunife’s presence at the grand opening of the company is a manifestation of her interest in supporting business ventures that are designed to make economic impact. He described her as a capacity builder and development driven representative whose good works reverberates throughout the State.
Former Anambra Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Harrieta Agbata, Former Anambra Accountant General, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Former ASUBEB Chairman, Dr Rose Nwankwo, the CEO New Orleans Hotels, Mrs Ego Akabogu among others were part of the Senator’s entourage.
