Find Out The Gifts Pope Francis Gave King Charles For Coronation

In preparation for King Charles’ upcoming coronation ceremony, Pope Francis has given the monarch a rare gift – pieces of wood from the True Cross of Jesus Christ. The two small fragments have been incorporated into the Cross of Wales, which will lead the monarch’s coronation procession.

The pieces have also been shaped into a cross and set in a gemstone at the center of a larger silver cross. Michael Lloyd, the cross’s designer, expressed his excitement for the privilege to make the historic piece.

The coronation ceremony will take place on May 6th and is expected to be filled with pomp and pageantry.
