INEC Mourns Worker Killed During Voter Registration

A staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Anthony Nwokorie, who was killed in April by unknown gunmen in Imo State, was buried on Thursday (today).

INEC on its Twitter handle mourned the 35-year-old and revealed that he was killed at Nkwo-Ihitte (Polling Unit 004) while on official duty during the just concluded Continuous Voter Registration in Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State.

Nwokorie was shot dead on April 14 2022
