International Youth day gives an opportunity to celebrate and maintain young people’s voices, actions and initiatives, as well as their meaningful, universal and equitable engagement in the affairs of the world.
Youth is one of the greatest assets that any nation can have. Not only are they legitimately regarded as the future leaders, they are potentially and actually the greatest investment for a country’s development. Young women and men are, in particular, recognized as a vital resource whose future prospects are inextricably tied to that of their country.
Youth remains a positive force for development when provided with the knowledge and opportunities they need to thrive.
These are the leaders of today, which sets a pace for a greater tomorrow.
I hereby call on our youths to wake up from slumber. Be resilient, hardworking, shun procrastination and above all, be engaged for global action.
History does not have mercy on a weakling, therefore, arise and shine for your time has come.
To commemorate this August day, some youths and I will be commissioning some of my Constituency Projects, all to the glory of God and Service to Humanity
