Over 10,000 Constituents to Benefit as Aja-Ajanze Flags Off Mega Medical Outreach

Hon. George Ozodinobi

History is about to be made in Anambra State as the Honourable Member representing Anaocha, Njikoka, and Dunukofia Federal Constituency, Hon. George Ozodinobi, fondly known as Aja-Ajanze, prepares to roll out what many have described as the largest medical outreach ever organised by a federal lawmaker in the state.

The life-changing healthcare programme will officially kick off on 2nd September 2025, extending to all 22 towns across the three local government areas that make up the constituency. The outreach is targeted at bringing free, accessible, and quality healthcare services directly to thousands of constituents battling different health challenges.

In a statement, Hon. Ozodinobi explained that the initiative is part of his promise to deliver healthcare at the grassroots, stressing that good health remains the foundation of a productive society.

To ensure its success, a 40 member medical team; made up of 30 experienced doctors and 10 qualified nurses has been mobilised to tour the 22 towns. The team will attend to patients suffering from common and chronic conditions such as malaria, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, helminth infections, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), among others. In addition, residents will benefit from free medical check-ups, drug prescriptions, health education, and advisory services designed to improve long-term well-being.

With an estimated 10,000 beneficiaries expected, the outreach will be conducted at designated centres in each of the 22 towns, making it one of the most ambitious constituency healthcare interventions ever attempted in Anambra.

A comprehensive schedule, including dates, venues, times, and contact persons for each town, has been published for easy guidance of the public. Constituents are encouraged to take full advantage of this rare opportunity to access free medical care.
