It’s no longer news how Chinedu Obidigwe in collaboration with Ozo Mkpu Victor Oye turned APGA Aspirants to money dispensing machines during the just concluded APGA primaries that have been adjudged as the worst primaries ever held in the history of APGA after Chief Victor Umeh’s 16 years as APGA National chairman. It will be recalled that Victor Umeh’s loyalists and praise singers were the first to condemn Otimkpili and Ozo Mkpu’s poor outing; forgotten that as at this time in 2011, Chief Umeh was busy allocating tickets to politicians and collecting huge sum of money from them. As long as money is involved he does not bother to know whether some other person had paid for the same position before.
For instance, at the last count in the Anambra South Senatorial Election in 2011, people like Okey Udeh, Ernest Ndukwe (bankrolled by Sir. Emeka Offor) and Nicholas Ukachukwu have been milked dry by this Sole Stakeholder/Director Chief Umeh for the same Anambra South Senatorial ticket. At some quarters, it was revealed that Ukachukwu paid as much as N100m to Chief Victor Umeh for the ticket and that Sir. Emeka Offor gave more than that on behalf on Engr. Ernest Ndukwe for the same ticket.
A replica of the above scenario was played out in so many other Constituencies that year!
My point remains; Who are the Umeh(s) to condemn Otimkpili and Ozo Mkpu?
Believe me on the above, Chief Victor Umeh’s long history of greed and self seeking leadership style did not just start recently.
Let me also remind him that the National Assembly is not a place for the greedy and learners, it is not a place for trial and error, but for people of sound intellectual prowess, capacity and serious minded. Anambra Central have suffered so much set-back because Umeh wanted to include Senator in his title-ship.
However, Anambra Central Restoration Agenda – ACRA Group and Ndi Anambra Central have decided to change the narrative. We have in one voice, agreed that its never too late to RESTORE that we lost by sending our best come 2019. That is why the good people of Anambra Central, Indigenes and Residents are saying, come 2019, it is Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife that will represent us.
The reasons are not far fetched. We want to hit the ground running. We have a lot at stake. We have a lot to address at the National Assembly. How come they have not attracted much federal projects to Anambra State? How come they have not provided more Federal Jobs and Appointments to Anambrarians with their influence?
These and many more Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife wants to address at the National Level.
