The city of Ibadan, Oyo State, is in shock following the sudden death of a popular Instagram cloth vendor, Adeshina Olayinka, also known as Khadi.
Olayinka, who was well known for her designer clothes and bags business on social media, was found dead in a popular hotel in the Akobo area of the city.
According to reports from Oyo Affairs, the vendor had informed her friend of a meeting with an individual at Wetland Hotel in Akobo on Wednesday, the 5th of April. The man she was with checked out of the hotel early on Thursday morning after making a phone call to Khadi’s room, during which she confirmed her safety to the receptionist.
However, when the receptionist reached out to inform her of her overstaying later that day, she was found dead in her room. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed, and investigations are ongoing.
The news of Khadi’s death has shocked her fans and customers, who have taken to social media to express their condolences. Many have described her as a hardworking and friendly person who will be greatly missed.
The police have yet to release an official statement on the incident, but sources close to the investigation have confirmed that they are treating the case as a homicide. Meanwhile, the family and friends of the deceased have requested privacy during this difficult time.
