See how much Nigerians spent on cinema tickets in March

According to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), Nigerians spent a total of N441m on cinema tickets in March. The National Chairman of CEAN, Mr. Opeyemi Ajayi, stated this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos. He revealed that a total of 174,071 viewers were admitted into cinemas across the country during the same period.

Ajayi also mentioned that the sales figures in March were encouraging compared to February, when the cinemas recorded total sales of N278m due to the activities of the Presidential and National Assembly elections, as well as the national problem of cash crunch.

He went on to say that for the month of April, cinemas will be showing movies such as Super Mario Bros, Domitila, Bloomboys, Honey Money, Renfield and The Pope’s exorcist.

It is worth noting that the cinema industry in Nigeria has seen significant growth in recent years, with more cinemas being built and a wider range of local and international movies being shown. This has led to an increase in the number of Nigerians going to the cinema, which in turn has contributed to the growth of the industry.
