Winner of “Face of Enugwu-Ukwu”, Miss Chidera, Promises To Promote Women Interest

Miss Chidera Favour Okonkwo, from Avomimi village, Enugwu-Ukwu, in Njikoka Local Government Area of Ananbra State, has gone home with a brand new Toyota Matrix, and the sum of fifty thousand naira, after emerging winner of “Face of Enugwu-Ukwu”.

The maiden edition of the contest for the coveted position, organised by Tiana Events, featured red carpet, and attracted popular artists, including Slow Dog, who thrilled spectators at the event.

Earlier in his remarks, the President-General of Enugwu-Ukwu Community Development Union, Comrade Bonny Ozo Nkwuaku, expressed hope that winner of the position will be a combination of beauty and brain, who will project the image of the community in positive light.

Nollywood Celebrity and son of Enugwu-Ukwu, Mr. Ugezu Ugezu, who commended the organisers of the event, said such contests will go a long way in launching participants into entertainment industry, with accruable benefits.

The CEO of Tiana Events, Christiana Ilikwu, who commended team spirit that made the event a reality, said future events will be bigger better.

Expressing deep feeling for emerging winner of the keenly contested position, the “Face of Enugwu-Ukwu” Miss Okonkwo, promised to remain a role model, a unifying factor in the community and to use her position in promoting the interest of women and girl child.

Winners of second and third position at the event went home with sums of one hundred and fifty thousand naira and one hundred thousand naira, respectively.
