An end has come to the crisis rocking the Kano state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the Governor Mai Mala Buni led caretaker committee has handed over the structure of the party to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Daily News Reporters obtained a correspondence between Ganduje and Buni dated 7 February, 2022 titled “Guideline to the harmonization of party structures in Kano states” signed by his chief of staff , Mr Abdullahi Gashua.
Buni declared that Ganduje’s leadership of the party remains incontestable.
Buni however enjoined Ganduje to carry along factional leaders of the party in the mould of Senators Ibrahim Shekarau and Barau Jibrin in the interest of the party.
The Buni committee declared that the subsisting litigation in the Court of Appeal by the Ganduje led APC challenging the legality of the Haruna Danzago exco of the party in kano was uncalled for since it would not serve the interest of the party.
The Buni led committee thereby called on both the Ganduje and Shekarau led faction to reach a consensus arrangement on sharing of both elective and party positions ahead of the 2023 poll.
