He was a Special Assistant to Gov Willie Obiano. Barr Akachukwu Maduakolam, in an uncommon demonstration of transparency alien to politicians of these days, undertook and executed the following projects using his salary as a Special Assistant and other personal funds!

1. Hosted the JAMIE (Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam Initiative for Education) Secondary School Debate in 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022 and gave Scholarships, running into hundreds of thousands, to winners of different categories.

2. He purchased the children’s swing Jingle-over for two primary schools in Azia.

3. Two (2) months’ salary as SA donated to victims of the 3rd Feb. 2021, church massacre in Azia.

4. Invested six (6) months’ salary in an Anti-Bet campaign to discourage young people from gambling addiction.

5. Installed solar-powered lights at Obama Azia Market Square.

6. Provided 100 cartons of Indomie noodles during covid 19 sit-at-home as palliative.

7. Invested in young talents by publishing an adapted Delf 1 French Textbook.

8. Provided steady water supply to Azia Police Station.

9. Assisted by friends, he built a 4-bedroom bungalow for Mrs Augustina Nwangwu Orji in Abam Azia.

10. Distributed over 2000 plantain seedlings to women in Ihiala LGA.

11. Paid a 50% fee to train twenty Students in Programming, Graphics, and Coding at Dimconnect computer college Uli in 2020.

12. Sponsored five Ihiala Youths to TedxIkenegbu 2020, 2021 & 2022.

13. Sponsored ten Ihiala Youths to SMFest Owerri 2021.

14. Donated five recorders (musical instruments) to Mother Offiah Memorial Secondary School Azia

15. Sponsored NYSC Ihiala Charity Community Development Service Outing 2022.

16. Augments monthly salary of teachers for Mother Offiah Memorial Nursery and Primary School Ugwuobi Azia.
