Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington, has launched a scathing attack on Afrobeat star, Davido, accusing him of being a talentless copycat. The attack was triggered by a flyer advertising Davido’s ‘Puma Meet and Greet’ event which took place recently.
Taking to Instagram, Speed Darlington shared the flyer and lambasted Davido, questioning how he has managed to maintain his career despite lacking talent. In an accompanying audio clip, he could be heard shouting, “copy copy no go kill you.”
Although he did not state how Davido allegedly copied him, it can be recalled that Speed Darlington held a ‘Meet and Greet’ event in Lagos a few weeks prior. The rapper’s comments have sparked reactions from fans on social media, with some defending Davido and others calling for peace between the two musicians.
