Arthur Eze vs Obiano: The battle shifts to Alor, as Igwe Alor mobilises support against Ngige

The political battle between Arthur Eze and gov Obiano is now being fought at Alor between the camp of Igwe Alor, HRM Anthony Elibe Okonkwo and that of Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour.

The Arthur Eze vs Obiano feud led to the suspension of Igwe Alor along 12 other monarchs who accompanied the Ukpo billionaire to the presidency to thank Mr President on his projects in southeast.

The suspension of Igwe Alor created an opportunity for the camp of Ngige who had been in opposition against Igwe Elibe Okonkwo to support the suspension. In a statement released by Ngige camp, they called on the state govt to sack Igwe Elibe claiming that he was imposed on ndi Alor by the then gov Peter Obi.

Reacting, the camp of Igwe Alor has responded in a press statement signed by one Hon. Chris Okudo,

Chairman Alor People’s Convention caretaker Committee, on behalf of the community Stakeholders and sent to AIF Media.

Below is the full statement.

PRESS RELEASE

August 20th, 2020

RE: ALOR COMMUNITY DISAASOCIATE THEMSELVES FROM STATEMENT CREDITED TO BOTH SEN. CHRIS NGIGE AND HIS LONG TIME PROTEGE UZOMA IGBONWA ; THE LEADER OF THE SOCIAL CLUB CALLED ALOR PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLY ( APA).

Good morning My Fellow Anambrarians and the good People of Nigeria,

Sequel to the purported statement in circulation credited to the, insignificant, vociferous minority social club a pressure group belonging to the Honourable minister of Labour and Employment; Sen. Chris Nwabueze Ngige , and as well the statement credited to the Minister of labour and Employment on Vanguard publication on the 20th August, 2020 where they claimed to disown and support the suspension of the popular Traditional Ruler of Alor kingdom, we the entire Community , Cabinet members and critical stakeholders in Alor honourably and humbly wish to use this wonderful and auspicious moment to repudiate their misinformation and put the records straight.

We wish to categorically inform Nigerians that the club is an insignificant fraction in the community and should not be taken seriously. They are called Facebook and online busybody that can not even win a ward.

The Honourable minister himself during one of Community gathering at the Town Hall boldly ranted that nobody dead or Alive has towered or would ever reach the height he has attained in the political space which was recorded and documented in a video tape for posterity sake.

Forgetting conveniently that Our illustrious son Chief P N Okeke of blessed Memory was once a federal minister etc. He also promised to lock anybody that will challenge his authority, when he invaded the town with federal police and the army,on the 30th December 2019. thus displaying,a shameful show of force and the autocratic nature of himself to the utmost surprise of the majority of community stakeholders.

Another evidence which is an attestation to the fact of what the community has been complaining about the reckless behavior of the Labour minister, is the insults he rained at Hon. James faleke representating Ikeja constituency for following the due process of paliamentary procedures of investigating public officers conduct and as well indirectly taking a swipe at the National leader of All progressive congress, Alhaji Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

Prior to Senator Chris Ngige venturing into partisan politics the community comfortably prepared him for leadership by granting him the opportunity of serving the community as its President general under Alor People’s Convention from 1996-1998.

Today having been blessed by God, instead of the Minister reciprocating the gesture by building a bridge of unity across all divide in the community, he chose to sow a seed of discord by using his long time protege Uzoma Franklin Igbonwa who also doubles as an ex convict charged & convicted for drug related crimes in America and spent over 12 years in American correctional facility to set the town into political upheaval and cataclysm.

The Stakeholders of the community due to the prolonged crisis in the town sent a high powered delegates under the aegis of Alor peace reconciliation committee to plead with the Honourable minister of Labour and Employment severally on different occasions but was rebuffed.

It is with this notice that we humbly inform the our fellow Anambrarians and Nigerians to discard any media circulation arising from both the Labour minister and leader of the social club and as well whatever group related to Sen. Chris Ngige as mischief makers whose pedigree as far as Community development is concerned is below standards.

For as far as Alor community is concerned they are faceless group set up to destabilize our town, but they have failed and shall continue to fail by the grace of God.

At this juncture,we passionately plead with the Governor of Anambra state, his excellency Chief Willie Obiano,Akpokuodike global,to consider the plea of our traditional ruler and other well meaning stakeholders and rescind the suspension of our traditional ruler. For to err is human but to forgive is divine.

We also use this opportunity to inform the governor not to give them the attention they desire.

Also we wish to thank the President His Excellency , Muhammadu Buhari GFCR, for giving our Son the opportunity to serve Nigeria , we also implore him to advice the Minister to maintain the posture of an Elder statesman in the affairs of the community and stop terrorising our community with federal might and taking

sides with agents of destabilization in our town.

May God bless the good people of Anambra state in particular and the citizens of Nigeria in general.

Signed:

Hon. Chris Okudo.

Chairman Alor People’s Convention caretaker Committee, on behalf of the community Stakeholders.
