Ekwunife Commiserates With Hon. Ebele Ejiofor Over Mother’s Death

The leading governorship aspirant for the November 6 election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Ekwunife on Friday, March 12, 2021, joined many political leaders, friends and well-wishers of the Ejiofor family of Adazi-Nnukwu to pay last respects to late Mrs. Mary Theresa Ejiofor.

Late Mrs. Ejiofor known as Achalugo died at the age of 76 and was until her death the mother of Hon. Ebele Ejiofor. Hon. Ejiofor is the member representing Anaocha I constituency in the state house of assembly.

The funeral mass which held at Late Mr. Vincent Ejiofor’s compound at Orofolo village, Nnukwu clan, Adazi Nnukwu had in attendance the Executive Governor of Anambra state represented by the Speaker ASHA, Rt. Hon. Uchenna Okafor.

In his sermon, the Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Jonas Benson Okoye charged Christians to live well on earth. He said that the worst thing that can happen to anyone is to return to God empty handed. His lordship reminded everyone that the world is not our own and advised Christians to prepare their lives because nobody knows when death will come.

Condoling with the family, Ekwunife described the deceased as a woman who lived a peaceful life full of grace and fulfilment, saying ‘we are here not to mourn but to celebrate a beautiful life well lived’. Ekwunife prayed God to accept the soul of the deceased.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology also on behalf of her family and the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District extended condolences to the immediate family of the deceased and entire Adazi Nnukwu community.

Concluding, Ekwunife enjoined Ndi Anambra to adhere to the precautionary measures of Covid-19 and advised Anambra state government to use traditional institutions for effective distribution and administration of the vaccines.

Ken Arinze, Former Chairman ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo, Former Member of ASHA, Hon Dimobi Joseph, Former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Chairman Senator Uche Ekwunife Campaign Organization, Ichie Sir Edwin Ubboh, President General Nri Kingdom, Chief Kelvin Obiegbunam, Chief Felix Oli and others.
