Part 1: Peter Obi’s false claims on the State’s University Teaching Hospital

Contrary to the claims of former Anambra State Governor Mr. Peter Obi that his administration delivered a functional/standard university teaching hospital to the state, a document released by the National Universities Commission (NUC) has revealed that it was the administration of former governor Willie Obiano that delivered a functional teaching hospital to ndị Anambra.

Details in the NUC document confirmed that the state university teaching hospital was not accredited to run Medicine programme throughout the eight years of Peter Obi’s administration due to lack of required medical equipment and personnel.

The document further confirmed that the Teaching Hospital became alive in Willie Obiano’s administration following the provision of required equipment and recruitment of adequate staff for the Medicine Faculty.

The document further revealed that contrary to Obi’s claim of promoting Science Education in the state through provision of computer sets to various schools, the Computer Science department of the state university was denied accreditation during Obi’s administration due to lack of necessary equipment and personnel.

With details contained in this document, it is clear that Obi handed over abandoned projects and neglected sectors to Chief Willie Obiano and that put his claims of handing over a flourishing economy with fat savings to doubt.
