Former Deputy Senate President Hails APC’s Newly Elected National Chairman and Secretary as Vital to President Tinubu’s Reform Agenda

Former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, expresses confidence in the newly elected national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and Senator Ajibola Basiru, the new national secretary, hailing them as key figures in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda. In a statement, Omo-Agege emphasizes the duo’s crucial roles in garnering support from federal lawmakers and party faithful to steer the economy in a fresh direction.

Congratulating Ganduje and Basiru, Omo-Agege highlights their merits and contributions to governance. He lauds Ganduje’s broad national outlook and successful record as a two-term governor of Kano State, while praising Basiru’s diligence and straightforwardness during their collaboration in the 9th session of the National Assembly.

According to Omo-Agege, having both Ganduje and Basiru at the helm of APC ensures a stable polity, fostering a strong relationship between the legislature and the executive branch, which is crucial for the success of President Tinubu’s reform agenda.

During the National Executive Council meeting attended by President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, Dr. Ganduje and Senator Basiru were officially ratified as the new national chairman and secretary, respectively, replacing Senator Abdullahi Adamu and former National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.
